Affordability – because of the excessive powerful price of the top off, that’s INR 150–250 (USD 2.3–3.8). This value is better than the actual refill rate once misplaced wages and transportation fees are factored in.

The inconvenience of sporting heavy LPG cylinders from remote warehouses because of limited doorstep delivery (particularly in M.P.).

Behavioral biases, which affect households who do not don’t forget smoke to be the main issue.

Most PMUY households are first-time LPG range users and are unaware of safety practices while using an LPG range. Their houses are unventilated, are made of wood and straw, and feature a low roof ceiling, therefore making it unsafe to apply LPG stoves.

Key Recommendations

Affordability

Since the affordability of LPG refills is one of the predominant boundaries to uptake, we recommend that the government have to design credit and deposit-linked economic for

PMUY beneficiaries in association with MFIs, self-help groups (SHGs), and small finance

banks. This would help fund the fee of LPG cylinder refills.

The Government of India (GOI) must not forget to increase the quantity of LPG subsidy

for PMUY beneficiaries to lessen the fee burden of LPG refills. This might convey

extensive behavioral exchange and assist Indians to adopt clean cooking gas. It might price

a further burden to the exchequer to provide a subsidy to PMUY beneficiaries. This

extra burden to subsidize 50% to 75%three of the present cost of LPG cylinders might

be within the range of INR 29 to 78 billion (USD 433 to 1,148 million) respectively every year.

Accessibility

To obtain PMUY targets, LPG dealers have stretched far past their catchment areas and enrolled beneficiaries living far from their warehouses. These beneficiaries must journey long distances to attain their LPG dealers to shop for refills. The authorities need to shift the LPG connections of PMUY beneficiaries to their nearest LPG dealer warehouses to keep away from challenges related to transportation and accessibility. Ideally, warehouses should be located within five kilometers from homes of beneficiaries.

The government must incentivize LPG dealers to supply the LPG cylinders to the home

area of PMUY beneficiaries. We estimate the annual fee of incentivizing sellers to provide domestic delivery to PMUY beneficiaries could be in the range of INR 4.6 to 5.7 billion (USD 68 to 85 million). The dealers need to additionally be allowed to manage an extra LPG warehouse near the location of their PMUY beneficiaries

Others

Beneficiaries cited that they are unable to gauge whilst their LPG cylinder is close to

being empty. As a result, they are not capable of making economic plans for their subsequent purchase. One option might be that the authorities provides a double bottle connection to

those PMUY beneficiaries who can manage to pay for it, which might assist them better manage their energy requirements. With a further LPG cylinder available for cooking, the beneficiaries can with ease make economic arrangements to purchase their next refill.

The authorities should make efforts to boom cognizance of the benefits and safety functions of the PMUY scheme to mitigate any misconceptions. A combination of mass media, along with TV, radio, and newspapers and focused promotional activities, such as video on wheels, street showsFree Web Content, and street plays may be used to attain PMUY segments.

Born free and unregulated non interventionist economics

Aaron Sprouse, libertarian and Austrian economists analyses not only the negative impact of regulation on small business, but the economy as a whole. He offers libertarian non interventionist free market solutions to our regulatory woes.

All human beings are born free, every man and woman; even those in totalitarian states. Their fundamental human rights have simply been removed by a government with too-much authority. The people are still born with the natural right to life and liberty; for they are the rightful sole owners of themselves. As human beings we are born with the drive to attain not only the basic essentials, but to also improve our lives with a higher standard of living. This being inherently true, man in pure right, has the ability to obtain goods through purchase, production, sell and trade. In self ownership the entirety of the human race should always have these abilities. We are born with the freedom to live life however we see fit, so long as no one else is being forced or restricted(no aggression, no force.) Any central government, agency or entity thereof that restricts these fundamental freedoms in any way has become an aggressor against it’s own people. This type of governance is tyrannical.
Any state to make a proclamation that it recognizes and upholds individual liberty can not contain and will never exhibit such authoritarianism, lest it becomes a state of contradiction and tyranny. In order to achieve liberty, to be truly free whilst having a central government, we must have the ability to live life freely, in our own way; so long as we are not stopping someone else from doing the same thing. There should be no government intervention in personal or social decisions, interactions or actions, so long as these decisions and actions do not impose force or coerce anyone. For state to regulate or to restrict the peaceful personal interactions of the individuals within said state is nothing more than a totalitarian breach of the proclaimed liberty that it claims to uphold.
In a true free society these same principles of liberty and non intervention of the state must also be applied economically or the state is still using force or coercion against it’s people. No central government should interfere with a man’s business, so long as he is not violating anyone’s liberty, stealing or using aggression against someone. This is his means of income, and through his means, consumer demand is met. For government to impede, makes the government an aggressor. Governmental regulations imposed on business usually has detrimental effects, not only upon the applicable industry, but the economy as a whole; with small business being the bearer of the heaviest regulatory burden. According to the office of information and regulatory affairs, there are around 3,400 federal regulations on business. with nearly 1/3 impacting small business directly. State forced licensing, fees, taxation, and location regulations are all non consensual aggressions that decreases a nations industrious value. Regulation that forces a business to add additional features, materials, and dictates procedural and manufacturing changes also directly forces an increase in manufacturing cost; which leads to an increase in product price. This decreases overall output and total gross production of that business and industry.
Regulatory statutes far too often limit a businesses ability to compete within their market, they stifle market expansion, discourage business innovation, and industrial crossover. According to a 2014 article from the wall street journal, titled “Behind the Productivity Plunge: Fewer Startups,” Due to over regulation, The United States production growth rate was nearly half of its historical rate. It plummeted from its annual average rate of 2.5 percent, which was held from 1948 to a low 1.1 percent between 2011 to 2014. This drop off was huge and is just one of the thousands of regulatory imposed hardships forcefully placed upon businesses. People who have great, innovative entrepreneurial ideas are set up for failure because of these regulations. They are forcefully restricted by licensing, fees, and requirements that the majority of these great minds simply cannot meet; and their ideas never becomes anything more than an idea, no matter how revolutionary. During that span of production rate decimation the gross domestic product declined severely which lead to the annual hourly productivity rate to 3.5%. This was the worst productivity statistic seen in a 24 year span, from 1990 to 2014. According to scholars at George mason university; we have clear data that shows when regulation is doubled in an industry there is a 9 percent decrease in the formation of new businesses. This doesn’t just hurt those that wish to become businessman, it also has a negative impact on job seekers.Through the same analysis we find that doubling regulation in an industry also leads to a 5 percent decrease in new hires. You can read the article at https://www.mercatus.org/publication/regulating-away-competition-effect-regulation-entrepreneurship-and-employment / Numerous studies have provided strikingly similar data, making it reasonable to assert that it is the nature of regulation to restrict. Gegulatory increase slows down economic growth. Fiscal regulation in essence is nothing more than a thinly veiled tax on individuals. For example, if a government imposed a regulation on beverage companies to use a higher grade metal for their canned products, then cans become more expensive, just as if the government imposed a new tax on canned beverages.
We must have entrepreneurial spirit driven free markets, void of government regulation. This ensures competition, lower prices and more jobs. If I as an individual wish to start a business, I should be free to do so without paying a large portion of my profits in taxes. I should be able to operate without unnecessary licencing and production mandates. I should be free of regulations and fees that harm my business and that of my competitors. Americans, in order to remain free and maintain liberty we must have a system of pure capitalism without cronyism or outside market manipulation. Our American markets should be based upon competition and competent service. In a free-market economy the consumer truly directs the markets. Product pricing, demand, and supply levels will be a real reflection of consumer interest. Only when this is achieved can we see an accurate depiction of our economic strength, or lack thereof. In a true free-market economy, we would have to maintain a zero percent corporate tax rate. Businesses would not only stay in America but several companies would move to America; further stimulating the economy. A state does not need this (tax) money to survive and taking money that an individual or company has earned without their consent is illegal, for it is nothing more than thievery. Where true freedom abides, self efficiency and liberty is always the result. This is the only way true capitalism can benefit everyone, non-interventionist economics.
Yes, this also applies to wages. The compensation for an individual’s Labor belongs solely to the individual that earned said compensation. The production, which is the end result of the labourers productivity is owned by the employer. Imagine that I am a worker in a factory and my productivity value is $10.00 an hour, and I am paid a wage of $8.00 an hour for my work. This is fair; as it allows my employer to profit +$2.00 an hour and relative to my productivity. If a state imposes regulations that force my employer to pay me $15.00 hourly, the wage may increase, but my hourly productivity does not. My employer is now -$5.00 on my hourly productivity rate. This wage is unjust as it is government forcing financial loss to the business owners. They are committing tyranny and have become aggressors against anyone who wishes to pursus the American dream. The wage is not a reflection of my actual production value, and falsely reports financial output value. Therefore such imposed laws, are an act of force, an aggression committed by the government. These types of regulations force unemployment to rise, productivity to be lowered and output to be muffled. Someone will lose their job, and will have a hard time finding another one, unless they can achieve a where their hourly productivity rate is higher than the imposed wage regulation. More people will fight for said job, less people will receive jobs with these high wages. People with lower productivity rates will be fired, the businesses will have no incentive to employ or retain said workers. Any machinery that can replace a worker, will, for it receives no compensation, requires no breaks and always meets output criteria.
If we had no regulations, wouldn’t breweries put poison in beer and kill people? Of course not, not if they wanted to succeed at business. People would instead buy their beer from a different brewer, and the murderous company, would fail. This can happen under our current over-regulated economy. The difference now is that there would be no government bailouts or substation, ensuring that the breweries would be driven to produce quality products, for the consumer regulates the markets; with their purchasing power. Still not satisfied? What about the FDA? We need a government reulated agency like the FDA making sure we are getting safe products, right; well no. Many times the FDA stops life saving medicines from hitting the markets and they approve medicines which have devastating physical and mental effects. They promote addiction and ensure that no one has the authority to stop “Big pharma.” If consumers want quality approved products, this becomes a market demand, without government interference private firms would then pop up, offering quality control speciality, with their stamp of approval being greater than that of the FDA. Businesses could afford these approval agencies because they too would be open to free market competition. To live in a country where the state claims to uphold liberty, these fundamental personal and economic freedoms must be allowed, and upheld. This is the cornerstone of freedom, voluntary cooperation, entrepreneurship, anarcho capitalism, and limited government. The only way to be truly freePsychology Articles, is to have true personal and economic liberty.

Elections in ghana a time we will never forget

Patriots in Ghana may put out flags as Nana Akufo-Addo of the NPP won office, defeating the incumbent Mahama of the Democratic Party. Though some of the EC committee may have complained about the imperfections, we have noted a rapid increase in the election structure.

They came, they voted, they left, we could say, as most Ghanaians claim the process was near-perfect. The observers stated it was not before long that citizens got involved in the selection campaign and it took only a few minutes for the whole thing to kick off. The press conference was held immediately, with Akufo-Addo’s personal secretary urging the defeated candidate to quit as soon as possible, in a calmly manner. Surprisingly, there were no outbursts of violence, considering the current situation on the Ghanaian political arena. Perhaps, we are expecting more of a kerfuffle to happen, but for now, it seems Akufo-Addo’s supporters have settled down.

The leading candidate later announced his victory only to be showered with praise from his eager allies. This did not pass unnoticed, and the next day was full of turmoil as the president-to-be had to find excuses for being too heady with his declarations.

The opposing party was far from good-natured when it rallied accusations of the precipitate joy. The NDC deputy general secretary said that Akufo-Addo’s proponents were adding fuel to the flame ahead of time and that it was a planned action, aimed to undermine country’s political façade. The speech, later delivered by Akufo-Addo, helped to calm down the raging crowds and was enough to ease the tensions at the election office. It’s not a secret that Ghanaian politicians are far from benevolent when it comes to conceding defeat. In this case, however, Mahama showed a considerable amount of self-composure, which leaves us wondering why the peaceful gesture had not been offered earlier.

Upon proclaiming himself president, Akufo-Addo said he was happy to be with his country on this special day, and assured everyone of the upcoming changes that are about to take place in Ghana’s political and economic life. He then made a pledge of honor to his country and added he was grateful to everyone, irrelevant of their personal beliefs on this election. There is only hope this presidential promise won’t be left a promiseFree Web Content, and actions would speak louder than words as the recently elected Akufo-Addo makes his first move as the head of the country.

Russian authorities ask through Interpol for details of the bank accounts and offshore companies of Russian tycoon Alexander Shchukin

Russian tycoon, who is currently under house arrest, is accompanied by cases of extortion and bribery

The activities of Russian oligarch Alexander Shchukin have thrown Cyprus into the whirlpool of international media. According to media reports, the Russian Authorities have asked, through Interpol, for details of Shchukin’s bank accounts and offshore companies, through which some €500 million appear to have been transferred from Russia to Britain.

The international media have implicated the Russian tycoon, who is currently under house arrest, in cases of conflict of interests in relation to the ownership of coal mines in southwestern Siberia, extortion and illicit acquisitions of assets.

Specifically, a recent report by Russian site www.versia.ru, which was based on an older report by British newspaper The Guardian, refers to Shchukin’s activities and to the suspicious routes of millions of euros from Russia to Britain, through companies with headquarters in Cyprus. It further notes that Shchukin would use illicit and unfair practices to blackmail his competitors, thus managing to bring coal mines under his control, which he would then transfer to Cypriot offshore companies.

The Guardian brought details of the way Shchukin operated to light. According to the British newspaper, the former director of the “Gramoteyinskaya” and “Tagaryshskaya” mines, Igor Rudyk, was arrested on the unprecedented charge of… having an expired passport! After being detained for 24 days, Rudyk was informed that he was facing a five-year prison sentence.

He later stated to The Guardian that they had offered to release him, with the condition that he would sign the concession of the coal mines. “I did it because I wanted to get out,” he stressed. According to the report, when the “Gramoteyinskaya” mine came into Shchukin’s possession, it was transferred to an offshore company in Cyprus, called “Cyrith Holding”.

“All the Russian businessmen knew that London was the best place to have their money and Cyprus the best transit point for this cause,” said versia.ru. The same report makes extensive reference to the activities of people in Shchukin’s close family circle. Specifically, the husband of Shchukin’s daughter Elena, Ildar Uzbekov, son of a former senior executive of Russian energy giant “Gazprom”, appears to be the individual in charge of transferring the capital from Russia to Britain, via companies registered in Cyprus.

“According to ancient Greek myth, the goddess Aphrodite was born on the island of Cyprus through the seafoam. Today, this myth has taken a different dimension: ‘dirty and criminal’ capital arrives from Russia to the island of Aphrodite. There it is laundered and then sent to the United Kingdom as clean money,” said versia.ru, adding that Shchukin, with the help of his son-in-law, transferred some €500 million to the United Kingdom through Cyprus.

Under house arrest for bribery with a BMW X5

A different case of attempting to extract a coal mine was the reason that led to Alexander Shchukin’s arrest, when the company’s major shareholder Razrez Inskoy appealed to the Federal Authorities of Russia. Two deputy governors, the head of the district Crime Investigation Department, the investigator and Alexander Shchukin’s associates were arrested as well.

According to a report by Russian newspaper Kommersant, Shchukin was charged with extortion and attempted bribery. In court he admitted to attempting to bribe the head of the district CID with a BMW X5 car. Today, he is under house arrest, while the Russian police appear to have applied to Interpol to investigate all of Shchukin’s offshore companies and bank accounts in Cyprus.

Cyprus Authorities “on edge”

While the uproar in the US over the moves of the former head of Donald Trump’s election campaign, Paul Manafort, via Cyprus continues with unabated vigour, the reports over the Shchukin case are intensifying concerns. Either way, the Republic’s Authorities have clarified that Cyprus has made all the necessary checks and signed agreements with foreign organisations for the best possible management of the phenomenon of tax evasion and money laundering.

They also stress that Cyprus underwent strict checks in the era of the bailout memorandum, while it continues to report to the EU as well as the IMF as regards money laundering. The Central Bank said in an announcement that it assesses and supervises the implementation of the requirements of the relevant legal and regulatory framework for money laundering by the supervised institutionsFind Article, based on international and European standards.

Political parties rarely stand still, especially when the world is experiencing so much change and upheaval. It is hard to point to one moment as the reason why the Republican party went through a shift in ideology and candidates. Instead, it is best to look at the evolution as a natural reaction to its opposition, changing demographics in the country, and events around the world.

Conservatives who want to keep up with the latest happenings with their party should always seek an insightful conservative news site as a resource. Whether it is in the form of a conservative news magazine or an online site, these publications can offer much needed perspective about what the Republican party is doing right – and where they are faltering.

Conservatives are aware of where the party falls short, but they are also intrigued by how stances are changing in just a short space of time. If someone had told a conservative ten years ago that their party would be championing protectionism and attempting to nix free-trade agreements, they would have laughed. But it is where we are at. It presents an interesting challenge for some old-school types. Do you roll with the times, or attempt to bring the party back to where it was before?

Shifting Policies

There are some policies that will shift back and forth. But when it comes to protectionism and an opposition to the increased globalization of the world, it appears the Republican party is on a specific course. Its base is upset at how the American worker has been overlooked in favor of outsourcing and foreign guest workers. Blue collar workers feel as though previous candidates, such as Bush, McCain and Romney, ignored their needs in favor of the corporations that were cutting their multi-million-dollar donation checks.

The healthcare debate in the United States is another potential turning point for the party. The idea that Republicans would favor an increased government role in healthcare was an absurd idea fifteen years ago. But recent polls have shown that all of the potential healthcare replacements championed by the party’s senators and representatives have extremely low poll numbers – even among hardcore Republican voters.

It will be even more interesting to see how the next four to eight years play out. Parties in power are generally unpopular, especially if they have a hard time getting their major legislative ideas passed. But the Republicans have a unique opportunity to not only set the country’s agenda for the coming decades, but to complete the major shift of the party’s stances on certain issues.

Staying Informed

Sometimes it can feel overwhelming for a citizen to remain up to date on every issue and new policy. But staying informed is not as challenging as it appears. By following and bookmarking the best conservative news sites, people can easily inform themselves about the major political events in the US and the rest of the world. While you may not have time to read about each story in-depthFree Web Content, even a cursory glance at the headlines is a great way to stay on top of the news.

New Delhi: It was in 2014 that then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi came to power with the BJP and became the Prime Minister. His thumping victory was a subject of great speculation and assumption all over the country. One striking fact about his campaign and eventual win was his use of big data and analytics to assure him there were no ‘last mile’ problems.

Cut to 2018, data and analytics is still the hot topic of discussion. Over the years since Modi brought in the renewed face of election campaign in India, opposition parties have used data analytics in streamlining their decision-making better and help in respective elections. But how does big data exactly work? And how important is it to politics in India as of today?

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has accused the Congress party of using the services of Cambridge Analytica(CA), a controversial offshoot of British company SCL Group that deals in data mining and analysis for electoral procedures.

While the ruling party accused the opposition, Cambridge Analytica claimed in its website that it had worked with the BJP too. Its India partner Ovleno Business Intelligence (OBI) stated on its website that it had worked with the JD(U) in 2010 and secured its win. Interestingly, BJP was in alliance with the party back then.

Combine the Past, Present to Figure out the Future
Big data is a serious amount of data that is being processed, churned in a complex environment of various possibilities. Analytics of the same data is the application of it in the elections.

For Ashwani Singla, founder of India’s first science-based reputation management advisory Astrum, the intersection point of big data and the analytics of it is India’s large voter base. “We will be going into 2019 with a voter base of almost 900+ million,” he said.

Shedding some light on how the procedure of big data and analytics works in the Indian political scenario, he said all the data that he has ever used was only that available on the public data, which includes data from the Election Commission, Census and NSSO. It’s an exhaustive data, he admitted, but the data is dated and not so rich considering demographic change (for example, the last updated Census data goes back to 2011).

He has his boots on the ground, thousands of volunteers going from door-to-door to conduct polls and to have conversations with the voter, which is further broken down into data and analysed.

“Every voter is not a homogenous whole. And in India, it is more complex because there are various differences based on language, caste, socio-economic backgrounds. There is, of course, an SC list, an OBC list that’s available in the public domain. But say, if I’m working in a particular district, how many OBC groups do I have there? I have to find out for myself because that data is not in the public domain,” he explained.

Once these door-to-door polls come back to the analytical team, they then figure out which direction the conversation among the voter is going.

One can look at farmers and women as two separate groups, but then an SC farmer might be different from an OBC farmer. “We have to go down to that micro level. Otherwise there’s no point,” Singla added. The data allows him and his team to figure out the trend, starting from a panchayat election to a general election. While he refused to divulge which political party he was associated with, Astrum’s website states that he steered Modi’s 2014 general election campaign.

“Based on voter history, I can figure out what my battlefield looks like. Where do I fight? Why is the voter voting in a certain way? How do I engage and who should I pitch as my candidate? Our polls tell us all that and help the party further in engaging with the voter at a very early stage,” he said.

The layers of data, he added, eventually are only a solid supplement to support booth-level activities. “Political parties help us with their insights, of course, but I am the one who knows how to read the data and to see the science behind it. It definitely helps in electoral strategy, but that’s something where people like me don’t have the decision power. I can only suggest based on my scientific research,” he said.

The Politics of it All
While Singla might be a non-political entity in the big picture of electoral process and data analytics, parties like the BJP and the Congress, too, have their own data analytics team. Earlier this year, Congress President Rahul Gandhi announced a data analytics department led by political economist Praveen Chakravarthy. Speaking to News18, Chakravarthy said there was nothing new in political parties using data.

“Analysis of data to glean insights for decisions is not new. Every sphere of society embraces use of data – business, arts, law etc. So does politics. There is nothing new nor different about using data, be it in politics or business,” he said.

Asserting that big data does not mean private data, Chakravarthy said that the Congress was just using lots of public data, including electoral data, data from party workers and that his team was a group of scholars and experts who “had their own methods of data analysis”.

The ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) too has its own team that does big data analytics for the party.

Amit Malviya, the national head of information and technology, leads the data team at the BJP. “Numbers tell us what has happened historically. It helps us get an insight to what the numbers are saying in terms of electoral arithmetic,” he said.

Adding that his team tries grill down to the booth-level, Malviya said that elections wasn’t arithmetic but it was all about chemistry. “Unless we look at it dispassionately, we can’t do much with it,” he added.

Once the analysis is in, the party builds strategies around it, which are purely political in nature. “Do the numbers mean that we will lose an election? No. But will it help in winning? Certainly. It is one of the inputs to an electoral strategy but an important one,” he added.

Malviya’s statement could be seen in the light of the recent elections that the BJP lost-Gorakhpur, which is considered to be Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s bastion. Yogi accepted that overconfidence cost him and the party in the bypolls.

While the BJP lost Gorakhpur, the party did look at numbers in a few other states, including Tripura and where it won. “The state units handle by-polls,” Malviya said. The focus is now on Karnataka.

Considering the level of interest and hard-core campaigns in state election by Congress President Rahul Gandhi and PM Narendra Modi, both Chakravarthy and Malviya were asked whether the leaders look at the data they churn out.

Chakravarthy said that Gandhi was a believer in data for its objectivity. “Our approach to data is much more scientific than schemingFeature Articles,” he added.

Malviya refused to divulge details on the PM’s involvement in looking at data.
