Latin Dances are one of the best dance forms. Few forms are very sensual and considered as one of the romantic things to do for the couple. It requires high coordination.

“The job of feet are walking, but their hobby is dancing”

Dancing is one of the greatest art forms prevalent today. There is no one who would not want to step to the grace of the tune.

One’s passion for dance can range from the free time hobby to life dedicating career worship. It can be anything in between too.

Well, a lot of dance styles are present- Freestyle, eastern, western, Latin, Hip-hop, Folk, etc. Latin dance forms are one among the most tried out, the one with the greatest number of fans and followers in the world.

Latin dances are one of the intimate dance forms. It is one of the romantic things to do for the Couple. It brings in together the chemistry between a pair and the speediness of the form.

The dance forms mainly focus on sharp and fast movements, and bring out the spice in the most delicate way!

There are different types of dance forms in the Latin dance style. If you are a dance enthusiast, here’s an account of the different Latin dance styles.

Salsa has its origins from Cuban and African forms. The musical influences were pretty much relevant from the Spanish too.

When Americans found out the from in Cuba, they took these dance forms back to their land being mesmerized by the music and the interesting movements.

Salsa, known as the partner dance can be modified into single variants or with those that exchange partners while dancing in circles.

The basic steps of Salsa are pretty much a three-step weight exchange movement involving feet. One would exchange weight with the other foot and then have a break or kick and then again the same continues with the other foot.

Arms are used by the lead dancer to lead the other dancer who is a follower. There are different dance styles for Salsa. Casino, Miami Style, Cali style, Venezuelan style.

The differences between each of them would be in hand wok, leg work, shoulders, spins etc.

Shoes with heels are used for salsa by ladies. Beginners are advised to use heels of 2.5” or lower. Dresses that are knee-length or shorter are used.

There are a lot of courses and performers all around the world, waiting to teach you the basics of salsa. Learning salsa can help you dance on any of the occasions.

Cha Cha Cha is a Cuban origin Street dance form which is between pairs, danced to the tunes of clear, energetic and a steady beat.

One beat cycle has 4 counts. The basic pattern involves the lead dancer to take the forward step with the left foot, with weight on the right foot. The form also involves a lot of hip movements.

Dancers usually wear a dress with ruffles and bright colors. They wear the same color high heels to match with the dress.

Mambo is a Cuban origin dance form which is much faster and less rigid than the normal ballroom dancing. The early days never had a clear cut distinction between salsa and mambo. They appeared to have much common in them.

The club-style for both of them defines salsa to have the chance to dance to any beat, whereas, in mambo, the break step is taken on the second beat of the measure.

So, salsa has all the parts confined to mambo. Ballroom classics do have very large differences between the styles.

Mambo counts are regular as 2, 3, 4, 1. One dances only on 2, 3, 4 and a pause is maintained on the 4. The forward and backward steps are the basics of mambo. Men take forward steps and female take the backward steps.

Using small steps of fast music as you will have small chances of going out of sync when doing so. Pause on the count 1 is really important not to go out of the beat.

Also, the hip action must be reflected from the weight exchange.

Like the other Latin dance forms, Merengue has the pair dancing to the tunes for Dominican music. The lead holds the follower’s right hand with his left hand and holds the follower’s waist.

Both the leader and the follower are supposed to move the hips together in the same direction throughout the song. It is a two-beat marching step.

The dress code for merengue is more colourful, tight and revealing to show the flexibility of the dancers and to show off the crispiness of the dance movements. Women use dresses that are bright and flowing in nature.

Men wear shirts that match the girl’s dress tucked into the slack. Shoes must be as smooth as possible so as to allow fast steps.

Bachata is a dance form that was developed from the Dominican Republic. The Spanish word means “ partying, noisy revelry”. This pair dance has been one of the favourites all over the world.

Bachata has the basic three-step Cuban hip hop dance movement, with a tap and hip movement on the 4th beat.

Few people do opinionated that Bachata is more intimate that salsa and pretty much slower than salsa music. So, Bachata is said to be easier to learn than salsa. Dancers wear shimmering and glittering dresses that are body fit with no flowing fabric.

Any of the dance forms, especially in Latin forms would require a high amount of precision and flexibility. The dancers will be given special exercise routines to help them be moulded into the shape for the performance.

It trains your brain and body in different perspectives. Special costumes and makeups for each form differ even though all of the forms are relatable to each other or each one has descending behaviour from the other.

Everyone dances for the pleasure of forgetting everything and move

to the tune of the music.

“If you hit a wall, climb over itPsychology Articles, crawl over it and dance on top of it”

How to Play Baccarat

Baccarat is a game of mystery to most betting people and is the staple of American brick-and-mortar casinos. Baccarat was derived from the European games of chemin de fer and punto banco. With this writing we hope that you will unravel the secrets of baccarat and with a little study learn how to become a winning player. Baccarat has become very popular after it appeared in the James Bond movies like Goldfinger and others. Let’s get started with the history of the game.

The game has its origin in 1490 and the word Baccarat is a French spelling for the Italian word baccara or zero. Baccarat was played mostly in Europe by the nobility in the reign of King Charles VIII. Baccarat was introduced in Las Vegas casinos in 1959, about a year and a half after chemin de fer was introduced. Both games were flourishing in the illegal Eastern casinos.

Baccarat Today

As a result of the game of chemin de fer, baccarat is now played in the United States, chemin de fer is very similar to baccarat, one major difference is that players bet among themselves rather than against the casino, with the house taking a commission from the player holding the bank. Chemin de fer was played in Las Vegas briefly in the 1950s, but it was quickly replaced by baccarat.

For decades baccarat was kept under wraps so the game was only familiar to a relative handful of players, and was played only by invitation in the lavish highroller pits for the amusement of the wealthy. The lowest minimum bet at the table was $20 and the customer would feel like a piker*.

All casinos that cater to highrollers, baccarat is a game of “whales”, the highest money players of the highrollers. High rollers play in an area that is roped off from the main casino, a table for 14 players, is run by three dealers– none of whom actually deals the cards out of the shoe which holes eight decks. The ceremony of passing this shoe, allows the players in turn to slide out the cards out of the shoe.

In the 1980s casinos introduced mini-baccarat, on a blackjack -sized table, along with other table games and only seven players. The game moves faster than baccarat, the shoe is not passed between players and the dealer deals all the cards, but the rules are the same. With the introduction of mini-baccarat now the average customer can play. The minimum bets have been lowered to $10 or even $5 at some casinos. So now everybody can play the game like whales.

At a full-size baccarat table of 15 players it has one dealer the “callman” and always stands up. This person turns the cards faceup after they are dealt by the player with the shoe. He is also responsible for calling out the point totals of each hand and announcing whether the hand gets another card according to the set hit/stand rules the game. There are two other dealers that are seated on either side of the callman. They are responsible for paying off the winning bets and collecting the losing bets. Mini-baccarat has only one dealer, who deals the cards and does the responsibilities of all three dealers at the 14 player table

At both tables numbers indicate the players position. In front of the numbers there is a lined off area in which the player is to place a banker bet or a player bet. In front of the dealer are numbers corresponding to the numbers of each player. Each time a player wins a banker betFeature Articles, the dealer places a marker in the box corresponding to that customer. Bettors must pay a 5% commission on winning bankers bet.

With this let’s learn how to play. The following section has the rules of baccarat as well as some strategies to become a winning player. Good Luck!

4 tips to improve your cooking skills

There are many aspects of cooking that may need improvement for any chef, whether you’re on a professional level or just cook at home. Cooking not only takes practice, but it also takes technique. Follow these tips and advice below to inprove your cooking skills.

There are many aspects of cooking that may need improvement for any chef, whether you’re on a professional level or just cook at home. Cooking not only takes practice, but it also takes technique. Follow these tips and advice below to inprove your cooking skills.

There are many aspects of cooking that may need improvement for any chef, whether you’re on a professional level or just cook at home. Cooking not only takes practice, but it also takes technique. Some might say cooking is easy, but others may think it’s a hassle. However, there are many ways to make cooking a breeze and help you become a better chef.

Following recipes is one of the easiest ways to cook. That’s because you’re looking at someone else’s creation and taking their tips to create a delicious meal. However, you can add your own spin to it, which can make cooking much more fun.

Everyone gets tired of the same thing over and over. It can be good to change it up. You might have done many soup recipes to death. But have you tried lectin free soup recipes? Lectin-free soup is a great way to add in your veggies without lectins that can lead to inflammation and worsen specific health problems, such as multiple sclerosis (MS).

Other new recipes you might want to try include stir-fry dishes, alfredo meals and even vegan creations. You can put your creativity to the test by making your own recipes. This will help you discover flavors that work well together and combinations that don’t complement each other. You’ll ultimately become a better chef by using trial and error with your own creations.

Have you ever had a meal that wasn’t very flavorful? Perhaps you used seasoning on one component of your dish, but left out the salt in other components. This can be a recipe for disaster. In fact, not seasoning your food in layers could ruin the whole dish and make you feel like all that work in the kitchen is in vain.

Take a look at an example. A classic spaghetti recipe seems easy enough, right? You just need a basic store-bought marinara sauce, ground beef and of course, the spaghetti noodles. After browning the beef and boiling the pasta, it’s time to add the sauce. But you didn’t season everything. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper on your meat. Put salt in the pasta water, but whatever you do, don’t put oil in the water. This will prevent the sauce from sticking to the pasta later.

When it comes time to add the sauce, put in some fresh oregano, parsley and even some mushrooms to liven up the flavor. As a result, your spaghetti will taste so much better because each layer of your food contains seasoning. This seasoning will meld together in your dish and result in a wonderful creation.

It can be hard to improve your cooking skills if you don’t have the right equipment. For example, if you don’t have a decent non-stick pan and the coating has rubbed off, your food will stick. This could result in a ruined meal because you can’t get your food out of the pan. Another cooking tool that’s so essential to becoming a better chef is a high-quality chef’s knife.

A good chef’s knife is sharp enough to cut through almost anything, from cabbage to tough cuts of meat. This will help you cut things faster, which can cut your cooking time in half. For some meals, prep time can take the longest. Therefore, a good chef’s knife will get you out of the kitchen in a hurry.

Using fresh ingredients in your meals will help produce great flavor. For example, using fresh tomatoes to make a pasta sauce will make your recipes taste better than if you used a store-bought sauce. BesidesScience Articles, fresher ingredients tend to be healthier and contain a lot less salt and sugar. Becoming a better chef involves using the right utensils and knowing what flavors to incorporate for beautiful flavor. You’ll be a lot happier with your cuisine.

While the sitar has been around for roughly 400 years, it didn’t make the foray into Western music until the music of Ravi Shankar came to prominence. One fated day, George Harrison picked up the instrument on a film set and ever since the psychedelic sixties, minds and ears were open to the East.

Along with embracing their mind-expanding philosophies, food culture, and religious beliefs, many open-minded Westerners widely accepted the sitar in popular music thanks to a handful of adventurous rockers from a formative decade of musical exploration. Today the sitar is synonymous with all things psychedelic in rock music.

According to various sources, the sitar was invented by Amir Khusrow, a famous Sufi inventor, poet, and pioneer of Qawaali music. Typically measuring around 1.2 metres in length the sitar has a deep pear-shaped gourd body and is a member of the lute family. It has 20 movable frets and 18-20 strings – a combination of melody and droning strings, giving the instrument its iconic sound.

Adapted from the long-necked lutes taken to India from Central Asia, the sitar flourished as a courtly instrument in the 16th and 17th centuries becoming the dominant instrument if Hindustani music. Today there reigns two dominant schools of sitar music in India: that of Vilayat Khan and Ravi Shankar.

‘The Godfather of World Music’, Ravi Shankar played a critical role in popularising sitar music in the West and was the original teacher and mentor of George Harrison. He was born in Vanarasi, in 1920, a place described by Mark Twain as, “older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and look[ing] twice as old as all of them put together.”

The scion of an erudite Bengali Brahmin family, Ravi Shankar began travelling to Paris at age 10 with his brother’s dance troupe, studying at Parisian schools, and absorbing the music and dances of his culture as well as those of the West.

In 1934, Shankar met guru and multi-instrumentalist Allauddin Khan, who became his musical and spiritual guide for the next 10 years. Recalling his tuition under Khan, whom he called ‘Baba’, Shankar said, “One morning, in Brussels, I brought him to a cathedral where the choir was singing. The moment we entered, I could see he was in a strange mood.”

“The cathedral had a huge statue of the Virgin Mary. Baba went towards that statue and started howling like a child: ‘Ma, Ma’ (mother, mother), with tears flowing freely. We had to drag him out. Learning under Baba was a double whammy—the whole tradition behind him, plus his own religious experience.”

The open-mindedness of his mentor was a quality Shankar embodied throughout his career, becoming an ambassador for Indian music to the Western world. In 1966, Shankar befriended George Harrison and shot to international fame.

In 1965, someone nonchalantly decided to decorate the set for the Beatles’ film Help! with a sitar. In between takes, George Harrison was drawn by its Eastern mysticism and decided to pick it up. Lost in its labyrinth of strings George was perplexed, and, with his interest piqued, set out in search of a teacher.

What the set designer doesn’t know is they unequivocally changed popular music forever – if not history.

One year later a friendship blossomed between Harrison and Shankar, and George quickly became adept with the instrument. At this time Harrison had already recorded the famous Norweigan Wood, though was soon embarrassed after meeting Shankar, realising the ineptness of his own training.

Expressing great interest and humility regarding his knowledge of the holy instrument, Shankar agreed to train him. Meeting twice a week, the veteran maestro soon realised it would take great practice and patience for George to become a proper sitarist. Harrison was also unaware of basic etiquette in Hindustani classical music. He once horrified his teacher by casually stepping over his sitar to answer the phone and promptly got a sharp whack on his leg for not showing enough respect for his instrument – a fundamental creed of all Indian musicians.

George then went to India for six weeks to train under the tutelage of Ravi Shankar, however, the weight of his undertaking soon became apparent. The basic training period of an Indian musician is five years of eight hours’ daily practice and a further fifteen years before a player is considered up to scratch.

Indian musicians view their role as a performer as a sacred task. This devotion approach to their holy instrument starkly contrasted the casual approach of Western pop music.

“Ravi was my link into the Vedic world,” George recalls of their karmic connection. “Ravi plugged me into the whole of reality. I mean, I met Elvis—Elvis impressed me when I was a kid, and impressed me when I met him because of the buzz of meeting Elvis, but you couldn’t later on go round to him and say, ‘Elvis, what’s happening in the universe?”

By the time Sgt. Peppers rolled around Harrison had found his own voice 0n the sitar with enough technique to express himself freely. Within You, Without You remains The Beatles most defining moment of musical mosaicism embracing both Eastern sounds and philosophies, and inspiring innumerable musicians since.

Other notable ’60s sitar users are The Rolling Stones’ Brian Jones (who actually picked it up before Harrison) on Paint It Black, with other prominent examples being Tomorrow’s Real Life Permanent Dream, Traffic’s Paper Sun, The Monkees on This Just Doesn’t Seem to be My Day, and later by Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Hillel Slovak on Behind The Sun.

Japanese psychedelic rock band Kikagaku Moyo are renowned for crafting jam-heavy fuzzed-out sets,  achieving international success through the electrifying of the sitar. After training in traditional piano for many years bandmember Ryu left Japan to study the art of sitar in India for 10 years and is still refining his talents.

For an instrument that is typically acoustic, Ryu uses lace sensor pickups – which utilise magnets instead of coils – before running the signal through a series of vintage effects to create a distinguishable, and extremely psychedelic sound in their lengthy mixed jams.

Ryu’s touring pedal chain consists of (in order) Vox V847wah, Ibanez Tubescreamer TS9, Third Stone Venus in Fuzz, Boss Equaliser, Boss DD-6 Delay, Digitech Supernatural Reverb, Memory Toy.

For a completely mesmerising, modern take on the sitar, there are few better than Kikagaku Moyo. This band, alongside many othersArticle Search, continue to reimagine the sonic limits of this ancient instrument.

We completely understand. Almost everyone is in the same boat right now, which is why we wanted to write this article with some simple and easy things to do to keep you busy and productive… even if you aren’t leaving the house!

Let’s get started.

Work!

If it’s possible for you to work from home, that should keep you busy for at least most of the week!

Take the time to set up a private office space in your home. This will give you a place that’s your own where you can focus and get things done. If possible, try not to work in your bedroom as this can make you feel more tired and unfocused.

If you don’t have space for a home office or you need something with real office amenities, consider signing up for a virtual office space service. These types of services offer a business address, a place to send and receive mail, call forwarding, and more. This will help you set up a true work from home office that feels like you still have all the amenities you need to get things done.

Clean

Now, working and cleaning aren’t the most fun tasks, but they will both make you feel very productive. And why not get down and dirty cleaning your home if you’re going to be stuck there for the foreseeable future?

Go room by room vacuuming, dusting, wiping windows, and more. This also is the perfect opportunity to go through your things and get rid of or donate whatever you don’t want or need anymore.

This will help you feel refreshed and less claustrophobic while you’re stuck in your home for the time being.

Home Workouts

Without access to the gym, sports teams, or even many local parks, many of us are falling into a rut of inactivity. Not only is this unhealthy for us physically, it can also induce feelings of sadness and depression as well… which is definitely not what anyone needs right now!

On the other hand, staying physically active can help you feel healthier and can boost feelings of happiness and energy as well.

Thanks to the Internet, you have access to so many types of at-home exercises and workouts. Head over to YouTube and type in whatever you want to find a video to follow along to! Yoga, HIIT, stretching, Zumba, you name it and it’s there!

You can also get outside for a run or walk (with a mask, of course!). Many of these workouts require no equipment, which is perfect if you don’t have supplies. You could also go online and order some dumbbells or resistance bands to make things a bit harder on yourself.

Start a Garden

Getting outside for some fresh air and sunshine is so important. Not only does this break up the monotony of the days, but sunshine and fresh air have been shown to help people feel happier and more relaxed by increasing your serotonin levels.

If you have access to a yard or even just a few flower pots, get outside and start a garden! This is a great family friendly activity that can give you some delicious crops like peas, tomatoesPsychology Articles, squash and more. Flowers are another easy option that will make your yard beautiful and can be brought into your home for a bit of colorful brightness!

There are different ways people use to spend lonely time. Some use hobbies like painting, dancing etc while some are inclined towards gaming. We will discuss if gaming is influencing new generation towards indoor sports?

Remember your mother telling you to not keep sitting inside and to go out and play? Earlier everyone was focused on playing games outside. All games that were considered as sports were played out in the open. Be it football, tennis or any other major game, it is played in the open air. There aren’t many takers for indoor games. But is this trend changing?

When we think of sports, there a few things that come to mind – competition, athletic ability, quick thinking, entertainment, fans and practice. Video gaming has all of this too and I think it must be considered as a sport. In fact, there are tournaments held globally and the winner can get millions. Because of the involvement of strategy and popularity of video games, many in this generation are going for playing these games. The number of players for e-sports is rising. In fact, the trend is such that many are looking for coaches for different games such as Escape from Tarkov coaching.

People have begun realising the part of indoor games and how important they can be. Indoor games have a host of benefits and with video gaming becoming popular, there is even more focus on indoor games.

Now although indoor games have its advantages, we most not completely discount the benefits of fresh air. This what we get when we play outside in the open air. Being out in the open has great mental benefits and it is good to get out sometimes. There is more space to move about in the open and hence it affects the mental state. Nature has a way of engaging humans and not going out at all to play is never recommended by health professionals.

But with more googles searches like find Tarkov pro player or Fortnite LFG, we see that more people have started looking into virtual gaming. With the current scenario that the world is facing, there is a higher increase in online gaming. Millions have signed in online to play virtual games and the stakes have gotten bigger. The pro players are now in demand and are making millions. But as a conclusionPsychology Articles, it is true that gaming has brought more attention to indoor games and made video games quite popular.

The lost tradition of centuries old indian games

Remember the times when we used to get back from school and couldn’t wait to venture out for playing Kith-Kith or Pithoo with our friends? Or simply wait for the holidays, Sundays and Diwali to have some fun sessions of rummy and card games with family, friends, and relatives? Here’s a list of a few centuries-old traditional Indian games which make the Indian heritage:

Remember the times when we used to get back from school and couldn’t wait to venture out for playing Kith-Kith or Pithoo with our friends? Or simply wait for the holidays, Sundays and Diwali to have some fun sessions of rummy and card games with family, friends, and relatives? The thrill of playing games with friends, fighting over petty things, that one friend who knows everything about the game, that feeling when your team is on the verge of losing the game and you pull off a masterstroke earning the ‘Hero’ tag and winning the hearts of everyone.

Those were the times when technology had not taken over and long summer days were spent playing games like Ludo, Bluff, Rummy, Chaupad and Snakes & Ladders while the evenings had sessions of Gilli-danda, Pithoo, Kho-Kho, Poshampa, and Chain. When one discusses the history of Indian sports, traditional Indian games have always been an integral part of the rich Indian culture. With the invention of gadgets and video games, we seem to have lost the tradition of playing centuries-old Indian games. While little is known about the origin of these much-loved traditional games, there are various shreds of evidence of these games in our history and mythology. Here’s a list of a few centuries-old traditional Indian games which make  the Indian heritage:

Also known as Paplu, rummy and other card games were once enjoyed by the royals and the nobility in the Mughal era. Ganjifa also referred to as Dashavata was introduced by the Mughals as they were very fond of playing card games. The rummy games we play today were not the same centuries ago. Indian rummy has travelled from one generation to another, from one country to another each coming-up with their own versions of rummy. Each region added its own essence and that’s how we now have so many rummy variants. However, with technology penetrating our lives, there is a shift in playing rummy offline to online. And it is gaining significance with various portals offering and promoting online rummy games which are easily accessible and simple to play. Adda52Rummy is one of the most popular online gaming portals in the online rummy gaming industry offering interesting rummy game variants with exciting offers and tournaments.

Though there are many traditional games for which some documentation and historical references are available, there are many that have lost their significance due to the lack of proper records. Chaupad/Pachisi is one such game incredibly popular in ancient India. A board game made out of a cloth or jute, its mural can be found in the Ajanta Caves in Maharashtra.

The Mughal emperors of India like Akbar also liked to play Chaupad. It was also a prevalent sport in the Rajputana. Later in the 19th century, Chaupad lost its prominence with the advent of different variants of the game in England and a similar game Ludo was introduced which gained more popularity. Today Ludo is much-loved by kids and is also available to play online.

The hopping game also called Hopscotch is very popular among the younger generation all over the world. In Tamil Nadu, it is known by the name of Nondi. Kith-Kith involves drawing a grid on the ground with numbers. Chalks or paint are used to draw the grid. Players take turns and throw a rock or stone onto the numbered block. They have to hop on one leg taking care not to step on the lines to pick up the stone and return back to the point where they started. It is a fun outdoor game played in groups. However, due to the rise in popularity of video games and PS4s, it is slowly losing its charm among kids. Also due to space issues, outdoor games have hit the skids.

Pithoo, Satoliya or Lagori is basically a game of seven stones. It is an exciting game very popular in North India. It encourages team building and enhances coordination. However once very popular among both the younger and older generation, Pithoo is now losing its importance due to space constraints and time restrictions. With the increase in academic pressure, children are now encouraged to participate in sports like cricket, basketball, and football for which they are sent for sports lessons and hence do not get the time to play the traditional outdoor games. However, kids in villages still continue the tradition of playing Pithoo.

It is a game of Indian origin which is very similar to cricket or baseball. In fact, some historians say that cricket and baseball have their origins in Gilli Danda which was played in the villages of India since ancient times. It involves two sticks, one is Gilli which measures around 3 inches and Danda is about two feet in length. Danda is hit on the Gilli which flips into the air and is then hit as hard as possible. After that, the player has to run and reach an agreed point on the circle. Gilli Danda is said to have originated 2,500 years ago in the Indian subcontinent. It is known by different names across the country such as Danggoli in West Bengal, Viti-Dandu in Maharashtra and Gootibilla in Andhra Pradesh. However, Gilli Danda has now become completely non-existent in cities.

Every game is about celebrating the innocence of childhood and creating cherished memories. HoweverFree Articles, these days kids do not even know the names of these games which were once an integral part of Indian heritage. The traditional Indian games have lost their worth and are on the verge of extinction. If only online gaming could revive a few of these board games and get the millennials hooked on to it.
