Free eBooks are a powerful viral marketing tool that can
literally provide you with an entire network of people
who promote your business, absolutely free. Here are a
few quick tips on how to benefit from your free eBook …

1. Provide Real Content.

This is the most basic tip, but it’s vitally important.
A simple “click” of the mouse is all it takes for someone
to delete your eBook. Don’t offer a simple sales pitch;
provide your reader with valuable information. This will
both capture his interest and build your credibility.
He’ll be more inclined to view your other products if
he likes what he sees — and even better, he may refer
other business to you.

2. Use What’s Already Available.

Creating an eBook doesn’t have to be a long, painful
process. For example, you could put together a related
group of articles and simply add a few comments or an
introduction. Or if you get a lot of questions about
a particular topic, pick some of them and put together
an eBook that offers the answers to these questions.

3. Make Your eBook Attractive and Easy to Read.

eBooks are usually either in ‘EXE’ format or ‘PDF’ format.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both formats, but
regardless of what you choose, create a layout that’s clean,
attractive, and easy to navigate. Offer links to the major
sections of your book and to places on the web where the
reader can find more information. Use graphics sparingly,
though; the more graphics you use, the larger the file
size (and thus the longer it will take to download).

4. Provide Links Back to Your Site and Products.

For example, you can:

= Put your website URL and logo on the cover page.

= Embed affiliate links within the context of your
articles, where appropriate.

= Write up a dedicated sales page at the end of your
eBook to promote a related product.

= Refer to your own products and how it can help the
reader. Keep it brief and use it only where appropriate;
you don’t want your eBook to sound like a sales pitch.

5. Encourage Your Reader to Pass It On.

Make it clear that your reader is welcome to distribute
the eBook, so long as nothing is changed. He can put it
on his own website as a nice gift to his visitors, or offer
it as a bonus when people subscribe to his newsletter. The
more places your eBook appears, the more free exposure you
get.

6. Offer Co-Branding or Re-Branding.

To encourage other webmasters to distribute your eBook to
their guests, you can offer to ‘brand’ the book with their
URL and logo. Some eBook compilers include this as one of
their features. One of them is the Activ E-Book Compiler,
a solid affordable option available at
http://buildyourhomebiz.com/ebookcompiler.html .

7. Promote, Promote, Promote.

There are plenty of ways to promote your eBook. These
include:

= Listing it in eBook directories.

= Promoting it in your email (or message board) sig file.

= Posting to appropriate ‘announcement’ groups or lists.

= Creating a special page just for the eBook and submit
that page to the search engines.

= Offer the book to your list of business contacts and
let them know that they’re welcome to distribute it to
their own guests.

There are many other ways to distribute your eBook; be
creative!

8. Consider Selling Advertising.

If you have a heavily trafficked site and the stats to
prove it, you may be able to sell advertising within
your eBook. Naturally you won’t want too many ads …
but a banner at the top and bottom of each page is
fairly common.

You can also choose to use that space for your own ads
… or offer them to select webmasters in exchange for
some additional promotion.

9. Build Your File of Testimonials.

Chances are, if people love your eBook you’ll start to
receive unsolicited testimonials. Ask the person for
permission to use his or her testimonial within your
marketing materials. It will show that you have a lot
of happy customers – and help to persuade visitors to
make a purchase.

10. Consider Using an Autoresponder for Follow-Up.

You may want to offer your free eBook in exchange for
an email address. This gives you the opportunity to
repeatedly market to the reader. Instead of giving
him a free eBook and then never contacting him again,
you ‘grab’ him while his interest is at a peak and
continue to offer more free information through your
follow-up autoresponder. At the end of your messageBusiness Management Articles,
encourage the reader to take a look at what else you
have to offer.

Many of you think that the ebook is just digital
information. You think that it’s no other then
just book which doesn’t have any shipment costs,
that it’s developing price is zero. And you think
that this is its purpose – zero cost?

If you were thinkig so – you were TOTALLY WRONG.

Among the above factors, the ebook is also
something more. Just because it’s digital
product such as software it can be modified every
second via the Net. Just think about the shareware
software – 99% of it has banner ads at the top which
changes in a matter of seconds. What if you add some
advertising to your free ebook? Not only that you’ll make
traffic with it but you’ll make some profits or may be
you’ll just exchange ads with other webmasters.

OK. But that’s not all about placing and changing ads
in your ebook. Just think what will happen if your
ebook is owned by 10 000 people. I’ll tell you what
will happen – everybody will want to place an ad in
your ebook so that the world will get known about him/her.
That means only one thing – BIG PROFITS for you.

Now let’s see one more way of using this
“refreshing strategy”. It’s very simple – update it.
Yes, that’s right! Add new information, new lessons, etc.
That’s how your ebook will become even more interactive.
People will buy it, because they will know that will
get updates, that they’ll be up-to-date!!!

The POSSIBILITIES of the ebook are COUNTLESS.
Just use your imagination

I’ll bet you think ebook publishers don’t need
autoresponders, am I right? Well they do!

And here’s why…

#1. If you publish more than one ebook,
why not make up a list of your titles
and call it a catalog. Then place your
list on a autoresponder, then you could
tell people to send a blank email to
your autoresponder to get your free
catalog via email.

#2. If your ebook is in EXE format, some
people will be afraid to buy and/or
download it. You could place a copy
of any reviews you have of your ebook
on a autoresponder along with a sample
chapter. This way people could get a
peek at your ebook contents, plus their
fears would be eased by knowing that
someone else has bought, downloaded and
reviewed your ebook.

Reason #3

Let’s say you use one or both of the above,
but still no one buys or downloads your ebook/s.
Let me ask you this, “Did you send them a
follow-up message?” You do know that most
people need see your offer at least 3-5 times
before they will make a decision. Don’t you?

Well now that you know, you will need a
autoresponder that can automatically
follow-up for you. This way you only need to
set it up once then let it do the work for you.

I found a company that will not only give you
free follow-up autoresponders, they will also
pay you to help them give them away.

Here are some of the features they offer:

*Instant, reliable delivery
(in only 10 to 30 seconds!)

*Unlimited, reliable follow ups
(up to 5, even 10 times!)

*Unlimited message length

*Unlimited message changes

*Control Panel Interface is easy and simple

*Powerful personalization features

*Database of your prospects’ e-mail addresses

*Powerful mailing list management features

*AOL and WebTV friendly

Let’s see your prospects’ request your information
via e-mail and they get it in a matter of seconds.

Then their names and e-mail addresses will be added
to your database and then the system schedules delivery
of the next follow up messages (at a time you decide on for
the next follow-up message to go out) all automatically.

This is a completely FREE service and very easy to set up.
After you’re done setting it upHealth Fitness Articles, your ebook marketing
machine will be working for you 24-7. Still think
ebook publishers don’t need autoresponders?

Why eBooks are crucial to your business

Your business needs input. The business mind must be like a
fast flowing stream. Ideas, viewpoints, suggestions must be
constantly flowing through. Still water can stagnate. So can
business. None of us know it all. We are constantly
learning. Well written eBooks can show us how to market,
advertise, build web sites, you name it. We avoid grief by
learning from the mistakes of others. How essential then
that you build your own reference eLibrary. Every time you
use it you can mine gold – if you do it right! This is why
eBooks are crucial to your business.

How to setup your own eLibrary

Just follow the same method as any library. A library has a
catalog. Books are grouped in sections by subject or author.
On your computer, create a folder call eLibrary. If you only
have a handful of eBooks to start with you can keep them all
together. As the number starts to grow create sub folders
for different categories, e.g. marketing, advertising, web
design, graphics etc. Put a shortcut to your library folder
on your desktop so it is always there as a useful reference
tool.

Where to get good eBooks

There are numerous resources. Put “FREE eBooks” in any
search engine and you will harvest a huge number of leads.
However, wading through the results can be time consuming.
An excellent site I discovered the other day was free-
ebooks. The URL is listed at the end of this article along
with another excellent link to a FREE ezine article
resource. To get started quickly, you can go to a top hit
list I have assembled of the books I have personally
obtained and can recommend from experience. The FREE ones
you can download immediately from the links.

How to speed eRead

So now you have your eLibrary folder containing a number of
top eBooks. You start to read. Overwhelming isn’t it?
Especially if some of the books contain hundreds of pages.
The answer? Develop the skill of speed reading onscreen. You
need a way to quickly absorb information or you will be
there forever!

Two things are especially important with screen reading:

1 Your environment. Lighting should not produce glare. Poor
lighting can greatly reduce reading speed. High contrast is
preferred on the screen so the print has the greatest
clarity. This also improves comprehension.

2 Use speed reading techniques. Use one hand to hit the
‘Page Down’ key and the other hand to hold and operate a
guide such as a ruler. Holding the guide an inch or so away
from the screen, move it down at a reasonable rate, or use
sweeping motions across the screen. This encourages the eyes
to take in larger sections at a time, especially making use
of peripheral vision. With regular practice this really
speeds up screen reading.

Stop every 10 minutes or so and allow your eyes to roam
around your surroundings, perhaps focusing on a distant
object. This helps eliminate eye fatigue.

How to make your eReading electrify your business

The number one trap to avoid is to just start reading
WITHOUT any plan or preparation. This is like trying to
catch and hold falling snow flakes. Yes there are millions
of them and they all look so beautiful. Alas, they only last
one second in the warmth of your hand. A good eBook may have
a host of wonderful ideas. You are captivated by one, then
in an instant that one is forgotten as you move on to the
next. So how can you make your eReading sessions PRODUCTIVE?
Resist the temptation to just rush in and start. Instead do
this first:

Have a new document open in your word processor.

Scan the eBook’s outline of contents so you can anticipate
what’s coming and where the book is going.

Start reading objectively. This means you are looking
for something! Basically any idea or suggestion that you can
apply to YOUR business should be noted in your open
document. Enter the page number so you can find it again.
Alternatively, if you like working with hard copy, hit the
print button. Then use a colored highlighter on the key
sentences.

After your reading session, set a time to implement or
investigate the points you have noted.

eBook reading should be a part of your weekly schedule. Make
time each day to scan or read another batch of pages. For
key eBooks, return to them after a couple of months and read
them again. You will be amazed how many more gems you can
sift out of it. What if the material in some books is
duplicated in others? They still have value. No two books
are identical. Does a gardening enthusiast have one
gardening book on the bookshelf? No. If you are serious
about internet business then you need a good collection of
eBusiness eBooks!

For example, a must in any eLibrary must surely be Ken
Evoy’s “Make Your Site Sell”.
(Review: http://www.vitalstop.com/ebr-myss.htm)
I read sections again recently which led me to make
further changes on my web site. I removed a lot of clutter
from the top of my web pages so a nice clean, clear header
could do its work of pulling the audience in to the main
body of the page. On previous readings I had missed that
point. This time it screamed at me in view of my web page
design.

So get your eLibrary organized. If you already have eBooks
littered around your hard disk, gather them together and
build an eLibrary. Start using them. If you have not yet
downloaded any eBooks, make a start today using the
suggestions above.

YesFeature Articles, you can eLectrify your eBusiness by eReading eBooks
from your own eLibrary!

Oblivious webmasters and ezine publishers sitting on a 24 carat goldmine

It continues to amaze me that everyday I see more and more
webmasters and e-zine publishers still worrying about the high
costs of online advertising and promotion when all this time they
have been sitting on a 24 carat goldmine. A goldmine so valuable
that it promises to end their worries for months if not years to
come.

As the webmaster of Carvers E-Book Marketing Center
http://carver.bizland.com I see day after day visitors who
are sitting on what promises to be one of the most effective and
exponentially growing free advertising mediums that they’ve ever
explored. A free advertising medium that is so effective
(unlike the majority of the rest) that it literally made me drop
all my other online ventures overnight and focus entirely upon
e-book marketing.

Before I continue it would be best to explain a little about
e-book marketing as the majority of online marketers that I meet
seem to know little to nothing on the subject. To put it simply
effective e-book marketing harnesses the power of giving away
“substance for free” in an attempt to build ongoing trust and
future purchases from potential customers. We see this everyday
with major corporations such as Microsoft giving away free
software and companies such as Hypermart that provide free web
space in hope to on sell other products and services.

While many of us just can’t afford to be throwing away such
elaborate software products there is still room for even those on
the tightest budget to harness the same power and bring similar
results as the major online players. How do we do this? E-book
marketing of course!

E-Book marketing works in much the same way as publishing an
e-zine, helping to develop trust within potential customers and
continually building on that trust by maintaining consistent
interaction with your online business. Not only that but it also
acts as an exponentially growing free advertising medium which
literally pulls people to your web site.

Mark Joyner the CEO of the Aesop Marketing Corporation
(http://foreverweb.com) created his first e-book titled “Search
Engine Tactics” a subject that is directly related to the products
and services that his company sells. Since its release in early
1998 it has now been downloaded over a million times which
equates to 1 million readers! A fair estimate based upon
independent research would be that at least 95% of those
readers visited his web site and depending upon the
conversion rate of his sales pitch at the time can you even
begin to imagine how much extra revenue was obtained
from his e-book?

Terry Dean of Bizpromo (http://www.bizpromo.com) has
experienced similar results. Here is a direct quote ripped straight
from his e-zine,”Web Gold” Vol. 2, #40, October 8, 1999:

“We produced our first electronic book for download back in
December of last year. It was titled “101 High Profit Businesses
You Can Start Online with Little Or NO Money.” I announced it
as a Christmas gift all of my subscribers could download. The
first couple of months it was online, it received 500 to 2,000
downloads per week… I currently estimate that around 1/3 of my
current business is still being generated by this one e-book
being given away for free on hundreds of sites. I consider it the
most valuable promotion my business has ever done!.”

There’s no doubt about it e-book marketing works and is
effective. Even the highly intelligent and respected people at
IMC (http://www.marketingchallenge.com) have
realized this and released their own e-book of articles that
they’ve previously published both in their newsletter and on their
web site – so what about this 24 carat goldmine I mentioned you’re
probably sitting on? Well we’ll take two examples that will
clearly show how many of you can begin to tap into this medium
almost overnight.

The first being the content from the web site of a person who
visited Carvers E-Book Marketing Center several days ago. You
can find their web site “The Small Business Knowledge Center” at
http://bizmove.com. This is prime example of an online business
that is truly sitting on a 24 carrot goldmine.

On their home page you will notice 8 major sections all quite
distinct but at the same time all similarly related to small
business information. Here I already count 8 unique e-books that
if complied in the appropriate manner and released for free
distribution could see this web masters web site promotion blues
gone forever! Imagine if just one of those e-books brought
similar results as that of Mark Joyner’s. Imagine if 2 or 3 of
them did!

While this an extremely good example anyone with a set of
articles, a short tutorial, back issues of their e-zine or
collection of useful information can create an e-book. Let’s
take a different example. Take a quick visit to “Golfgateway” at
http://www.golfgateway.com. You will find a link on the left side
titled “Tips from the Pros”. While this web site lacks any
articles as suchFeature Articles, even golf related web sites could harness the
power of e-book marketing.

Compiling an e-book of all past pro tips effectively titled
“The Little Golden E-Book of Super Golf Tips from the Pros”
and then giving it away for free they would have then created a
book that I’m 100% certain people will begin to pass on to their
friends. The beauty is that these friends share the same
interests and are therefore the same highly targeted prospects
that are the most desired visitors to the Golfgateway web site!

I’m also 100% certain that they would find or already have
associated web sites that would gladly like to offer their free
e-book for download as an incentive to attract more visitors to
their own web sites.

It’s also probably quite ridiculous the amount of money that both
webmasters from these examples spend on web site promotion
each and every month. When you consider that the small cost
to begin and continually harness the power of e-book marketing
it’s almost crazy they themselves and others aren’t exploring it.

While this article couldn’t possibly provide you with all the
techniques and methods that are required to successfully explore
and experience the results of e-book marketing I hope that I have
brought this relatively new medium to your serious consideration.

2 killer ebook marketing tactics

1) SELLING CREATES TRAFFIC

You probably know that by including your ad in a
free ebook, then allowing others to give it away is
a great way to spread your ad all over the internet.
That worked good in the old days because hardly
anyone knew about it, but now there are free
ebooks almost everywhere. Because of this your
free ebook ad has to be extremely persuasive and
you must present it so people perceive it as valuable.
I have a solution for this free ebook problem.

Write an entire ad for the ebook, as if you’re selling
it, and actually set up an ordering option for your
free ebook. You just give your prospects the option
of getting it at no cost if they refer three of their
friends, family members or associates to your web
site. Another option would be to ask them to place
your banner ad on their home page.

It’s very persuasive because they’ll get a product
you’re selling for free, what a bargain! You could
always sell it for an extra high price to increase it’s
perceived value. So you’ll either make a huge profit
or get a link on their home page.

2) CONCENTRATE ON THE TOP

Create an ebook full of tips relating to the theme of
your web site. Type keywords into search engines
that your web site would fall under. Contact the top
twenty related web sites and ask them if they would
like a tip ebook they can give away with their own
ad place inside it. Just include your own ad inside it.

The web sites that agree to the deal will give you a
lot of traffic. You can either put your promotional
ad inside the ebook or have them link to your web
page to give it away. Of courseArticle Submission, on that particular
web page would be your product ad. It’s a win/win
situation.

3 epublishing income strategies

1) CUSTOMIZE YOUR E-INFO

Offer a customized e-information product instead
of writing a whole ebook and guessing what info
people will buy. Just let them decide. You could
charge people to e-mail you five to ten questions
that they want the answers to.

After they order, take them to a private web site
where you would have a special e-mail address or
form they could use to e-mail you the questions. You
would then e-mail them back the answers to their
questions. If you’re an expert, it will be pretty easy
to answer the questions without any research.

You can also get away with charging a high price
for customized information. You could charge a one
time fee, per question or even a subscription fee.
You would have to limit the number of questions they
could ask every month unless you have a big staff.

2) CHARGE FOR UPDATES

Create an ebook to sell for a one time price. Then
inside the ebook sell subscriptions to the monthly
updates of the ebook. You’ll make money up front
and still have a chance to make residual income.
Plus, it’s an instant back end product.

You could either publish the updates via e-mail or
on a password protected web site. The updates
could be a few articles or full chapters. Every time
you publish an update you could include an ad for
another product you sell.

3) GIVE TO GET

Give away your e-information products and make
money by selling advertising space within the content
you write. Your advertisers would have to be related
to the subject of your content in order to blend in a
subtle message mentioning their offer without sounding
like an ad.

This e-info business model could be successful because
it’s not like the in-your-face ads that people are known
to ignore. People will read them because they’re actually
interested in the content and have requested to read or
download the e-info. Your advertisers will likely see a
jump in their traffic and salesArticle Search, if done correctly. Which
means they will probably reorder advertising again and
again.

What do Internet marketers Rick Beneteau, Jim Daniels, and Marlon Sanders,
and Mark Enlow have in common? They have all made their personal fortunes
as authors of top-selling ebooks!

When Stephen King brought in $450,000 in a mere three days with the recent
release of “Riding the Bullet”, he made it clear that ebooks SELL!

Like our pioneer forefathers, cyber marketers are struggling to learn the
basics of survival on the Internet frontier. In desperation we try the
“marketing technique of the week”, only to see our efforts run dry.

Your experience and knowledge are priceless. Why not tap into that wealth of
knowledge and profit from it? Truth is that dot comers are hungry for
information on how to get ahead in business. When start ups jump into
business; they lack the business savvy that only comes with real work
experience. If you can help them JUMP that learning curve, you’ve got
yourself a topic for a winning ebook.

of people with Internet access is growing, the reach of ebooks is ever
expanding too. What is unique and special about ebooks as a medium? What can
ebooks offer that other mediums cannot?

more involved with the piece than they would with traditional printed
matter.

– Immediately accessible. In a matter of seconds someone can download an
ebook.

– Permanence. Unlike radio or television, ebooks are a more permanent media.
They can be read at leisure. This makes ebook material more likely to be
remembered and referenced.

-Easy to navigate. Hyperlinks can be used both within the piece and to links
on the Internet.

– Less barriers to the market. Anyone with a computer and some software can
create an ebook. No waiting and hoping to get published. Once you write an
ebook, your place in the market is certain.

-Allow total creative freedom. You don’t have to work through an editor, a
design house, or wait for red marks to be placed on your script. You are in
charge of the look and feel of your piece!

You can use ebooks as a free giveaway, as a thank you gift, or as an add-on
bonus when a customer purchases a product or service. Looking for a surefire
